FAQ & contact
Know before you go.
Clear answers about experience, equipment, cabins, food, internet and booking.
Life on board
Yacht life & amenities.
What are the specifications and comfort levels of the safari yacht?
Black Panther is a premium liveaboard with air-conditioned en-suite cabins, spacious indoor and outdoor lounges, sun decks and a jacuzzi. See Yacht & Cabins for the yacht-specific details and room options.
Can you cater for vegan, gluten-free or other dietary requirements?
Yes. Vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free and other requirements can usually be arranged. Tell us before booking so the chef and team can confirm your needs.
What can I do if I want a break from foiling?
There is plenty to do: snorkel, wakeboard, use a SUP, try the Diver Scooter, join yoga or diving, relax in the jacuzzi, read on deck or simply enjoy time with the group.
Are alcoholic drinks available, or can I bring my own?
Alcohol is not included. The options vary by yacht, and guests may usually bring their own drinks. Tell us what you prefer before travel so storage and onboard service can be confirmed.
What food and drinks are included?
Three fresh buffet meals per day, snacks, fruit, soft drinks, coffee and tea are included. The onboard chef combines international and local dishes. Alcoholic drinks are separate.
Is there reliable internet at sea?
No. A local SIM may work well in some areas and not at all in others. The safari is not suitable for dependable video calls or remote work.
The week
Itinerary & daily routine.
What does a typical safari day look like?
Days follow the conditions rather than a rigid timetable: an early water session, breakfast, a move to the next spot, afternoon riding or other activities, then sunset, dinner and time together on board.
Are island or land excursions included?
The yacht may anchor beside uninhabited islands for beach sessions, a basecamp or an island BBQ when the route and conditions allow. The safari does not include mainland sightseeing stops.
When does the yacht leave and return to the marina?
Boarding is on Saturday in Hurghada. The yacht normally sails on Sunday morning, returns to the marina on Friday afternoon and check-out is on Saturday morning. Final times are confirmed for your departure.
What happens if the wind is light?
The route remains flexible and the week offers alternatives such as eFoil, wakeboarding, snorkeling, diving, island stops, SUP and time on deck.
Where exactly will we ride?
The route is selected shortly before and during the safari. Wind, water, safety and the group level determine which lagoons, reefs and islands offer the best conditions.
Who can join
Experience & suitability.
Can I join if I have never done watersports before?
Yes. Absolute beginners are welcome. Certified instructors build the training step by step around your personal progress, whether you want to learn wingfoil or eFoil.
Is there a weight limit for using the eFoils?
You must be a confident swimmer and remain within the manufacturer limit of the available board, commonly around 100 to 110 kg. Ask us to confirm a suitable setup before booking.
Can I join if I do not want to do watersports?
Yes. Non-riders can enjoy the yacht, sun decks, jacuzzi, snorkeling, island stops, yoga, meals and social evenings at their own pace.
Do you accept solo travellers, and how are cabins allocated?
Yes. Solo travellers can request a bed in a shared twin cabin or a private cabin for single use, subject to availability and the current single supplement.
Before you book
Inclusions & pricing.
What is included in the basic safari price?
The package includes seven nights in a shared cabin, chef-prepared meals, soft drinks, coffee, snacks, airport-marina transfer, daily cabin cleaning, safety boats, rescue support, snorkeling, wakeboarding, SUP, one 30-minute Diver Scooter session per person, PumpFoil try-and-test and the planned island BBQ.
Which extra costs should I plan for?
Flights, the Egypt entry visa, travel and medical insurance, alcoholic drinks, selected lessons, rental and diving are separate. Marina, fuel and environmental fees are EUR 180 per person, and yacht crew tips are EUR 120 per person.
Are international flights included or arranged?
No. Guests book their own flights to Hurghada International Airport so they can choose the airline and departure airport that suits them.
How does the airport transfer work?
Share your flight details with the team. On arrival day you will be met outside Hurghada Airport and transferred directly to the yacht or marina. Final meeting details follow before travel.
How much should I tip the yacht crew?
Yacht crew tips are EUR 120 per person and are normally collected in cash during the week for the onboard crew.
Before you travel
Documents & health.
Do I need a tourist visa for Egypt?
Entry rules depend on nationality. Many travellers can obtain a visa on arrival in Hurghada or apply for an e-Visa before departure. Check the current official requirements for your passport before travel.
Which insurance do I need?
Comprehensive international medical insurance is required and should explicitly cover your planned watersports and emergency evacuation. We also recommend checking personal liability cover for rented equipment.
What if I get seasick?
The protected Red Sea areas are often relatively calm, but seasickness cannot be ruled out. If you are susceptible, bring suitable medication and ask a doctor or pharmacist for advice before the trip.
On the water
Equipment & safety.
Which eFoil brands and models are available?
Premium Aerofoils and Lift setups are available, with different board and wing options for different levels. The exact fleet and availability are confirmed for your departure.
What safety measures are used during open-water sessions?
Sessions are monitored by the team, and two motorised tenders support transfers and rescue. Helmets and impact vests are mandatory during lessons, and instructions from the crew must be followed.
What happens if I damage rented equipment?
Normal wear is expected, but damage caused by negligence may be charged to the rider. Check that your personal liability insurance covers rented watersports and eFoil equipment.
Can I bring my own eFoil, kite or wingfoil equipment?
Yes. Tell us exactly what you plan to bring when booking so transport, deck storage, charging and battery compatibility can be checked in advance.
Can I rent equipment on the yacht?
Yes. eFoil, wingfoil and kite equipment can be arranged, and compatible Lift or Aerofoils eFoil batteries may be available for owners bringing their own board. Rental, lessons, availability and compatibility must be confirmed before travel.
